Earlier this week, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) showed up to E3 with a brace of game updates as well as a few rollouts including “Bullet Run” and a reboot of the classic Sir-Tech fantasy role-playing game “Wizardry Online.” SOE president John Smedley spoke to Speakeasy about PlanetSide 2, a sci-fi combat MMOFPS (massively multiplayer online first-person shooter), and SOEmote, a free facial recognition feature that’s being added to “EverQuest II” that uses a web camera to read expressions made in the real world and turn them into virtual ones that instantly appear on avatar faces...
